Description

  • Treatments
    Administering a range of spa treatments, such as massages, facials, body wraps, scrubs, waxing, manicures, and pedicures 

  • Client care
    Consulting with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and tailoring treatments accordingly 

  • Education
    Educating clients on spa products and services, and recommending treatments and home care routines 

  • Record keeping
    Notating client records with services performed and any important reminders for future services 

  • Equipment and supplies
    Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sanitized and stocked 

  • Safety and compliance
    Ensuring compliance with all spa policies, procedures, and safety standards 

  • Customer service
    Handling client complaints and reporting injuries or illnesses to management 

  • Promotion
    Recommending additional products and services that may benefit the client 

  • Administrative tasks
    Preparing massage rooms for treatment, and maintaining detailed records of the work that they do 

Responsibilities

  • Providing spa services
    Spa therapists offer a variety of spa services, such as massages, facials, waxing, and manicures and pedicures. They ensure that these services are delivered safely and comfortably. 

  • Maintaining cleanliness
    Spa therapists maintain a clean and stocked work area, and uphold hygiene standards and health and safety regulations. 

  • Providing customer care
    Spa therapists are expected to ensure that clients feel relaxed and cared for. They should have excellent customer service skills and be able to listen carefully to clients' needs. 

  • Building client relationships
    Spa therapists should establish genuine connections with clients, and customize services based on their preferences. 

  • Communicating with clients
    Spa therapists spend a lot of time talking to clients, and should be able to help clients relax and be open with them. 

  • Maintaining documentation
    Spa therapists maintain documentation and keep clients' files up to date. 

  • Promoting retail products
    Spa therapists may suggest and promote retail products and additional services. 

  • Cooperating with staff
    Spa therapists should cooperate with other staff and report any issues to administration.
